The story
A five-person team comprised of a thief, a grifter, a hacker, and a retrieval specialist, led by former insurance investigator Nathan Ford, use their skills to fight corporate and governmental injustices inflicted on ordinary citizens.
What it’s like
Bright, polished interiors and nighttime city glass give way to the team's warehouse-style hideouts, all cluttered monitors, wired-up rooms and cheap-looking disguises that play as part of the fun. The camera stays busy and playful: quick cuts, split-screen flourishes, and fast zooms that mirror the mechanics of a con, with the occasional still frame to flag a plan. Sound leans on pulsing electronic beats and bright strings during setups, and sharp, teasing dialogue carries the rest. The vibe is crisp, witty and buoyant, a caper with a bit of righteous anger underneath, best suited to a Friday night binge or a lively background watch while doing something else. Pacing is brisk and episodic, each job a self-contained puzzle built around a tight, satisfying payoff. The team members, a wry former investigator and his ragtag crew, gradually reveal more about why they fight for ordinary people. Violence is mild and infrequent, mostly scuffles and staged fights, with peril kept tense rather than graphic, and no real gore or sexual content. It suits viewers who want clever heists, underdog justice and an easy-going ensemble.
