The story

Lies of P: Overture is a story expansion for Lies of P that introduces new narrative developments, environments, enemies, and weapons. It builds on the core game's mechanics while expanding the dark reimagining of the Pinocchio tale with additional challenges and lore.

What it’s like

Gothic Belle Époque decay carries this one: rain-slick cobbled streets, gaslit lanterns throwing amber halos over sooty stone, and a palette of bruised violet, brass and rust that turns every corridor into a shadowed reliquary. The camera stays close behind the player in third person, so the grimy, clockwork-stitched world feels physically tight, and the score leans on low strings, tolling bells and sudden metallic clatter, with long stretches of unnerving quiet between boss encounters. It is a slow-burn, dread-soaked soulslike, and its intensity is high: frequent, grisly combat with creatures that tear and dismember, blood spatter and visceral finishing moves, but no sexual content and little gore beyond the fight itself. The rhythm is deliberate and punishing, built around memorising patterns, rest at lantern-lit checkpoints and steady, bittersweet discovery. Its people are damaged creations gradually confronting what they were made to be. It suits late nights alone with headphones and players who want a demanding, moody challenge with a melancholy, fairy-tale undertow, and who don't mind dying often.
