The story
As soon as Zhu Yun started college life, the world was completely turned upside down by the intrusion of "bad boy" Li Xun. He was regarded by Zhu Yun as a rich, ignorant and incompetent son, but his real identity was actually a special admissions student who was admitted by the school, and a rare programming genius. After several confrontations, the two have some appreciation for each other. The senior Fang Zhijing made things difficult for Zhu Yun many times, Li Xun took action to protect Zhu Yun, and invited her to join the preparation team he set up to win a major programming competition on behalf of the school.
What it’s like
Campus-set and softly romantic, this web drama leans on the textures of university life: lecture halls, dorm corridors, and late nights in a computer lab where a programming team works toward a competition. The vibe is a mix of first-love tenderness and sharper undercurrents of rivalry and betrayal, with the tension coming from wounded pride, shifting loyalties, and small public humiliations more than from any physical danger. Its emotional register is earnest and romantic, and its pacing suits episodic viewing, with each installment building on the last through confrontations that slowly turn into grudging respect. The story is an adaptation of a popular web novel, so its tone carries that serialized rhythm: plenty of cliffhangers and interpersonal drama, with the business and tech threads adding a layer of ambition. Violence is minimal and mostly absent, and any intensity comes from emotional conflict rather than fear or gore. It suits viewers who want a comfortable, character-driven romance with a revenge-tinged edge, especially those who enjoy young-adult campus stories and slow-burn rivals-to-lovers arcs.
