The story

Right after Ryu Sun-jae, a top star, ends his life, Im Sol, his top fan, somehow ends up at a time when they were in high school and tries to protect him. A fantasy romance unfolds where people who missed each other in time finally meet.

What it’s like

Warm, sunlit school hallways and bright, saturated city streets alternate with softer, nostalgic flashbacks in pale summer haze, with pool water and blue-tiled swimming lanes lit by hard afternoon sun. The camera stays close and conversational, favoring medium shots and quick cutaways to small gestures, and the color is clean and candy-bright in the present day. The score leans on swelling pop ballads and light synth beats, with idol-stage music filling the big moments. The mood is sweet and wistful, with comic lightness undercutting grief, and the romance builds slowly through near-misses, shared glances, and small kindnesses. Its intensity is mild: an opening death and a few tense, time-slip peril scenes carry real sadness, but there is no gore and little violence. Gentle viewers can sit with it, though the early episodes deal openly with loss. It suits a comfort rewatch, an evening binge with a blanket, or a lazy weekend, and it's for people who want a romantic fantasy that is tender, hopeful, and easy to feel.
