The story
Four eminent Indian directors explore sex, desire and love through short films in this sequel to 2018's Emmy-nominated 'Lust Stories'.
What it’s like
Four separate short films, each with its own director and its own room, move between intimate interiors and urban Indian settings: apartments at night, cramped flats, the quiet of a bedroom with the lights low. The look is clean and conversational, with close framing on faces and hands and an emphasis on what goes unsaid, while the sound leans on small domestic noises and restrained pop-inflected scoring. The vibe is wry and warm, shifting between teasing comedy and a more bruised, melancholy ache within the same evening, which makes it suit a late night in with a drink, or a stretch of time when you want something adult but not heavy. Pacing changes with each segment, so the rhythm is episodic rather than steady. The emotional arcs are about people testing what they want from intimacy and from each other, often with humour covering vulnerability. Intensity: sexual content and nudity are frank and present throughout, with strong adult language and emotional conflict, but little physical violence. It suits adult viewers who want honest, sometimes bittersweet stories about desire, and it does not suit anyone looking for something gentle or family-friendly.
