The story
An anthology of four stories that sheds light on modern relationships from the viewpoint of the Indian woman.
What it’s like
Four stylistically distinct short films share a single frame of Mumbai's modern middle-class life, so the look shifts from segment to segment: handheld, sweaty closeness in one, glossy and deliberately staged in another, and warm domestic light in a third. Expect bright city interiors, apartments lit by lamps and phone screens after dark, and the restless texture of crowded streets and late-night rooms. The sound moves with each piece, from dialogue-heavy stillness to upbeat pop cues and quieter, more melancholy strings. Tone is adult, frank and often wry, with sexual content that is explicit in places and intimate scenes that come with nudity, and emotional drama that can turn sharp or uncomfortable. Violence is limited but present in one segment, and the mood stays tense rather than gory. Pacing varies: each story has a clear, compact arc, and the people in them move from guarded or unhappy routines toward candour, humour, or a hard-won clarity about what they want. Best suited to viewers who want grown-up relationship stories told through women's perspectives, and not a good fit for anyone seeking something gentle or family-friendly.
