The story
A human space colony fleet is trying to find a habitable planet near the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. The story focuses on three young adults and the events that occur around them as the fleet faces a crisis of alien origin.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated anime palette with glossy cel shading, sunset-orange and cobalt skies, and a lot of motion: fighter jets transforming mid-air, vast fleets drifting past star fields, and stage-like concert sequences lit in neon pinks and blues. The sound leans into pop-rock idol songs and orchestral swells, so the score can feel buoyant one moment and operatic the next. Vibe: upbeat, glossy, big-hearted, with a wistful streak. It suits a weekend binge, a comfort rewatch, or an evening when you want energy without much dread. The pacing is brisk and episodic, built around ensemble banter, romantic tension and musical set pieces, with the three leads growing from restless youth into people who carry real responsibility. Intensity is moderate: frequent aerial combat with explosions and some deaths, but little gore and no graphic cruelty, with the battles framed as spectacle more than horror. Mild fan-service and suggestive humour appear throughout. Made for viewers who love mecha, idol music and warm ensemble casts, and who don't mind a bit of teen melodrama.
