The story

Forced to live apart due to a unique job prospect, two newlyweds face the hassles, hiccups — and hilarity — that arise from their long-distance marriage.

What it’s like

Bright daylight and warm, lived-in interiors give this one an easy, sunny look, with phone screens glowing in quiet bedrooms and split-screen-style conversations that make the distance between two people feel tangible. The palette runs to cheerful saturated colours, and the camera stays close and conversational, favouring medium shots over sweeping gestures. The score is light and bouncy, with pop-leaning cues that lift the comic beats. Tonally it is a warm, low-stakes romantic comedy: playful, a little sentimental, and more interested in everyday friction than in grand drama. Its arc follows a newly married couple learning to stay close while physically apart, the humour coming from awkward calls, mismatched routines and the small domestic mishaps that come with it. The pacing is brisk and forgiving, with no real menace or cruelty, and there is no violence, gore or fear; intimacy is kept tender and largely off-screen. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch, or a light evening when you want something affectionate and easy to follow. It is for viewers who enjoy gentle romance and bickering-but-devoted couples.
