The story
Marinette's class is headed to New York, the city of superheroes, for French-American Friendship Week. But the arrival of Hawk Moth will complicate everything.
What it’s like
Bright, glossy 3D animation in saturated primary colours, with sunlit city streets, skyline vistas and quick, sparkling superhero effects that bloom across the frame. The look is busy and energetic rather than quiet, with fast cuts, bouncy camera moves through crowded avenues, and a pop-leaning score that keeps the pace up. The vibe is upbeat and playful, a cheerful comfort watch for a weekend afternoon or a family movie night. Its rhythm is brisk, with bursts of action, banter and slapstick, and the emotional register stays warm and light: a group of school friends learning to trust each other across a language and cultural gap, with a rival force sowing trouble along the way. Intensity is mild. There is superhero combat and some menacing villain moments, but no gore, no sexual content, and little real cruelty, so the tension is brief and the tone quickly returns to friendly. It suits young children, families, and fans of the Paris-set series who want more of the same characters in a bigger, brighter setting.
