The story

Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn't remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter Parker he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see.

What it’s like

Built around big-scale superhero set pieces across New York, this is an action-forward film with a sci-fi edge, where the spectacle comes from bodies in motion, rooftop chases and city-wide threats rather than quiet, lingering atmosphere. Its mood runs between restless and earnest: a young hero pulled between duty and the friendships slipping away, with humour and warmth threaded through the chaos. Expect a brisk pace, frequent cuts between street-level intimacy and sweeping action, and a sense of a city that feels both ordinary and under pressure. The intensity is action-level superhero violence, with peril, injury and tense confrontations, but no sustained gore or cruelty, and the emotional beats stay accessible. It suits a Friday evening with friends, a cinema-scale spectacle night, or fans who want a hero's personal struggle played out inside large, kinetic set pieces. It is best for viewers who enjoy comic-book energy, a Marvel-style blend of banter and stakes, and a protagonist whose anxieties are as central as the fights.
