The story
Rai wakes up from 820-years long sleep and starts his new life as a student in a high school founded by his loyal servant, Frankenstein. But his peaceful days with other human students are soon interrupted by mysterious attackers known as the "Unions".
What it’s like
Crisp, saturated anime cel-shading with clean linework and bright daylight in the school scenes, then a sudden shift to moody night palettes of deep blues and violet when the vampire world intrudes. Bright, buoyant comedy grounded in ordinary campus rooms, corridors and rooftops, with expressive character acting and quick cuts that let the jokes land. The score leans on upbeat orchestral pop and taut electronic beats during fights, and the sound design is playful, with exaggerated comic effects. The vibe is light, mischievous and warm, with a current of old-world elegance undercutting the everyday school chatter. It suits an easy weeknight, a lazy weekend binge, or a background watch while doing chores. Its arcs centre on an ancient, aloof noble learning to live among teenagers and slowly warming to them. Action is frequent and stylised, with bursts of bloodshed and sharp, sudden violence, but it is cartoonish and rarely lingers on gore. It is for viewers who enjoy absurd humour, classic vampire mythology and fast-moving shonen-style battles.
