The story

After breaking the mysterious "One Wish Willow" to win his crush's heart, a hopeless romantic finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.

What it’s like

A supernatural horror-thriller with an absurdist streak, built around a lovesick young man whose wish for a crush's affection curdles into something possessive and frightening. Its feel is close to dark romantic comedy: the wish-and-consequence premise invites an uneasy, sometimes darkly funny mood, shifting toward dread as the bargain sours. Expect a steady build of unease rather than languid calm, with the couple at its center making the obsession feel personal and uncomfortable. The shocking turns and self-harm content make it a poor fit for anyone wanting something gentle. It suits late-night viewing with friends who enjoy dark, unsettling genre films, and viewers drawn to unrequited-love stories that turn sinister, the sort of film where the discomfort is the point.
