The story

Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Zuma and Skye are doing their best to protect the people of their town. Led by Ryder, a tech-savvy 10-year-old boy, each of them is equipped with special equipment and together they help anyone who finds themselves in trouble. No task is too big for them and no puppy is too small.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated 3D animation with glossy, rounded shapes and a clean, even light that makes every scene look sunny and uniformly cheerful, with the pups' bold primary colours (red, blue, yellow, green) popping against pastel town streets, green parks and blue skies. Camera moves are simple and kid-readable: steady medium shots, quick cuts to the pups' vehicles and gadgets, and bouncy motion when the team rolls out. Sound is upbeat and jingly, with a catchy theme, sound effects for sirens and hovering gadgets, and call-and-response chanting that gives it a loose, repetitive rhythm. The vibe is cheerful, busy and warm, well suited to a weekend morning, a toddler's playtime, or background noise while tidying up. Episodes are short and fast-paced, with each problem resolved within minutes through teamwork, and the tone stays gentle and reassuring, with no real violence, scares or peril beyond brief, mild suspense. Made for pre-schoolers and young children, and for adults who want something light, sweet and easy to sit beside.
