The story
Poppy's a free spirit. Alex loves a plan. After years of summer vacations, these polar-opposite pals wonder if they could be a perfect romantic match.
What it’s like
Warm, sun-drenched summer colour: bright beach light, sand-pale streets, and travel-postcard locations rendered in clean, inviting daylight that shifts toward golden hour at dusk. The camera stays mostly conversational and close, favouring two-shots and easy handheld moments over stylised flourishes, with a bouncy pop-folk and acoustic soundtrack that keeps the mood buoyant. The vibe is breezy and affectionate, with a hint of nostalgia for holidays that repeat year after year, and it suits a lazy weekend, a light evening in, or a feel-good watch on a long-haul flight. Pacing is brisk and comfortable, with romance and comedy alternating through familiar rom-com beats. The emotional arc follows two longtime friends who have very different temperaments slowly reconsidering what they mean to each other, and the tone is gentle and largely low-stakes. Expect some mild sexual content and adult humour, and no real violence. It is aimed at viewers who want a sweet, hopeful romcom about friendship turning into something more.
