The story

A woman wakes up injured in a basement surrounded by corpses. To survive, she pretends to be dead while a grotesque ritual unfolds in the house above.

What it’s like

Cramped, claustrophobic dread built around one basement and the sounds drifting down from the house above, where the atmosphere is held in the bodies on the floor and the stillness of someone trying not to move. The register is tense and bleak, a survival horror where every creak and footstep upstairs carries weight. Expect pacing that stays tight and confined, with long stretches of waiting broken by sudden threat. The intensity is high: the premise involves kidnapping, corpses, a serial killer, and a grotesque ritual, so the violence and gore are central rather than incidental, and fear comes from proximity to death. It is not gentle, and it is not a light watch. It suits a late-night viewing alone or a Halloween-season horror slot, and it is for viewers who want a grim, contained thriller where the protagonist's endurance and quiet desperation drive the tension.
