The story
Pokémon Infinite Fusion is a Pokémon RPG fangame based on the Pokémon fusion generator trend, featuring sprite art from a large community of artists. In this version of Pokémon, Silph Co. has created a DNA splicer that can work on any Pokemon, allowing their stats, visual appearance, and typing to be combined alongside their available abilities and moves. The game includes both the Kanto and Johto regions, and includes over 570 Pokémon, including the first 386 Pokémon from the first three generations alongside a suite of specifically chosen Pokémon from later generations. With hundreds of thousands of fusions available, even Professor Oak doesn't expect you to "catch 'em all"!
What it’s like
Pixel-art sprites in the chunky, bright style of classic handheld Pokémon, but every creature is a patchwork: a Charizard body with a Gengar head, a Pikachu silhouette sprouting Onix stone plates, colours clashing and blending across each fused form. Towns and routes are sun-washed greens and blues with soft daytime light and warm dusk oranges, and the chiptune-leaning soundtrack loops with familiar Kanto and Johto melodies bent into new arrangements. Battles are turn-based and menu-driven, with quick, readable animations that keep the rhythm snappy. The vibe is playful and curious, a giddy tinkering-in-the-lab feeling, with a steady gentle pace of wandering, catching and experimenting. Intensity is mild: cartoonish creature combat with no gore, no sexual content, and little real menace beyond ordinary RPG peril. It suits a lazy afternoon, a comfort replay, or a long session of trying odd combinations, and it is for players who love Pokémon's world and want the joy of discovering strange new creatures.
