The story

What starts as a YouTube video going viral, soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town's troubled past. Everyone has secrets. Everyone tells lies. Everyone is fair game.

What it’s like

Glossy, saturated teen-horror with bright suburban daylight, pastel-lit school hallways, and phone screens glowing with livestream chatter, the look of a streaming feed turned into a crime scene. Sound leans on synth stingers, pop-tinged needle drops, and a ringing-phone motif that spikes the tension. The vibe is breezy and irreverent, a self-aware slasher with a sly wink at the genre and an appetite for twists, best for a binge on a lazy weekend or a comfort rewatch with friends. Episodes move at a brisk clip, with cliffhangers that fold into one another and a steady drip of reveals. The register stays playful even when the body count rises, and the arcs follow a group of teenagers learning who to trust as old resentments surface. Intensity is moderate: stabbings and on-screen deaths with some blood, jump scares, and a fair amount of teen drama, sexual talk and flirtation, and occasional drinking and drug use; no sustained gore or graphic sexual content. It suits viewers who like a whodunit with horror flavour and a mischievous tone, and it is less suited to anyone wanting a quiet or gentle watch.
