The story

Two colleagues become stranded on a deserted island, the only survivors of a plane crash. On the island, they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it's a battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.

What it’s like

Sunlit, sticky island heat and the wreckage of a plane give the setting its bones, with the handheld-feeling intimacy and kinetic comic violence of a Sam Raimi genre piece, where dread and slapstick sit close together. The vibe is tense, sardonic and mean-spirited, a pressure cooker of resentment that turns survival into a power game between two people who once worked under the same roof. Expect escalating friction, sharp verbal jabs and bursts of physical peril that tip between nasty comedy and real fear. The rhythm builds through quieter stretches of wary bargaining into sudden, jolting confrontations. Its people's arc is a reversal: former office hierarchies break down as each tries to outmaneuver the other. The intensity is moderate to high: bodily injury and sharp, sudden violence, some gore, and cruelty that is repeatedly humiliating rather than gentle. It suits a late-night watch with friends, or anyone who likes their thrillers cruel, funny and unsettling in equal measure. It is not for people seeking calm or anything low-stakes.
