The story

Darcy and Tom gather their families for the ultimate destination wedding but when the entire party is taken hostage, “’Til Death Do Us Part” takes on a whole new meaning. Now, Darcy and Tom must save their loved ones—if they don’t kill each other first.

What it’s like

Bright tropical daylight gives way to sweaty, sunlit chaos in this action-comedy, with the Philippine island setting rendered in saturated turquoise water, lush green jungle and warm, sun-bleached resort greens, and handheld camera work that stays close to the bickering couple as the wedding party tumbles into trouble. The score leans on bouncy pop and percussive island rhythms, while the action is quick and broad, cut with a lot of wisecracking. Its vibe is breezy and playfully chaotic, a loud, good-natured escape that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a long-haul flight, or a comfort watch when you want to laugh without thinking too hard. Pacing is brisk, the tone warm and irreverent, and the central arc follows two prickly exes-to-be who discover they still care about each other under pressure. Intensity is moderate: there are gunfights, fistfights and some bloodless scuffles, with peril played for laughs, and the romance includes a few frank adult jokes but no explicit sex. It is for people who want a silly, romantic adventure with a lot of banter and little darkness.
