The story
A ragtag group of cricketers and cricket enthusiasts come together overcoming personal odds and help each other to give a clear shot at winning the local tennis ball cricket tournament.
What it’s like
Sun-washed, open-air neighbourhood cricket, with the bright, scrappy energy of street grounds and the wide daylight of a summer tournament. The mood is warm, upbeat and underdog-hopeful, the kind of easy sporting comedy-drama that suits a relaxed weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch, or something on while tidying the kitchen. Episodes move at a brisk, friendly pace, with the focus on banter, camaraderie and small victories rather than heavy spectacle. The emotional register stays generous and light: characters carrying private worries and tight budgets gradually lean on one another, and the tone turns on warmth and self-deprecating humour more than on tension. Intensity is low. Any conflict is interpersonal and verbal, with no meaningful violence, gore or sexual content, and little that would unsettle a viewer looking for something gentle. It is best for people who love cricket or underdog team stories, want uplift without darkness, and enjoy watching a loose band of misfits become a real team.
