The story

Pryce Cahill was headed for golf greatness when an on-course meltdown derailed his career. Now struggling to stay afloat, he goes all in to mentor Santi—a teenage phenom with immense potential—and maybe save himself.

What it’s like

Easygoing and warm, with the wry, slightly rueful humour of a comedy-drama that keeps its stakes human-sized. Much of the energy comes from open roads, fairway greens and the cramped, lived-in intimacy of a motorhome, so expect sun-washed outdoor scenes, dusty highways and small interiors where people talk over coffee. The score and sound design likely stay light and unobtrusive, leaving room for banter and the crack of a club. Pacing is relaxed, with episodes that let scenes breathe and jokes land in their own time. Emotionally it sits in bruised, hopeful territory: a washed-up man and a gifted teenager circling each other, and two exes who still know exactly which buttons to press. The arcs are about second chances, tentative trust and learning to start over, with few sharp edges. Intensity is low: mostly verbal friction and sporting tension, with no gore and little or no violence. It suits a lazy weekend, a comfort watch, or a Sunday afternoon with the blinds half open, and it's for viewers who want charm, sincerity and a little heart without grim stakes.
