The story

Irreverent comedy drama which follows the messy lives, loves, delirious highs and inevitable lows of a group of raucous teenage friends in Bristol.

What it’s like

Handheld, restless camera that lives inside a crowded flat: grimy kitchens, bedroom walls plastered with posters, sodium streetlight and the washed-out blue of a bedroom at 3am, with bursts of saturated club neon and the hard white of a corridor under strip lights. Pop soundtrack cues punch through the frame in bright, sudden hits, and the dialogue crackles with sharp, profane wit that often breaks the fourth wall. Vibe: scruffy, bratty, sincerely emotional, with a bittersweet undertow. It suits a late-night binge when you want something loud and jittery, or a stretch of background viewing where the rhythm of the episodes carries you. The pace is fast and episodic, with each instalment rotating focus across a rotating ensemble, so the group's shifting alliances and crushes feel like weather rather than a single arc. Tone swings from broad, cheeky comedy to raw, heartbreaking scenes of grief and self-destruction. Intensity is high: frequent drug use, strong language, explicit teenage sexual content, and sudden, shocking injury and death that lands hard. It is not gentle. It is for viewers who like unruly, character-driven British drama that doesn't flinch from the messy parts of growing up.
