The story

A snowboarding game and a reboot of the SSX series. Players ride down mountain courses based on real-world locations, chaining tricks to build boost and reach faster speeds. Alongside a career-style World Tour, the game offers free exploration of the mountains and asynchronous online challenges where players compete for scores and times.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated alpine days with hard sunlight glinting off snow and a sky that tips toward cartoon blue, the whole world rendered in glossy, slightly exaggerated polygon detail. Courses tumble through glacier fields, forest runs and night-lit resort slopes, and the camera hangs close behind the rider so every jump and spin feels physically launched into the air. The soundtrack is driving electronic rock and hip-hop pushed hard through the speakers, and the crowd roar and wind rush punctuate each landing. Vibe: adrenaline-fizzy, sunny and irreverent, with a joyful sense of speed that rarely stops to breathe. It suits an evening of pick-up-and-play sessions, a weekend warm-up before a long gaming stretch, or a loud, carefree break after a dull day. Gameplay is fast and chain-driven: tricks build boost, and the rhythm is the reward. Intensity is low: no gore or violence, with only occasional crashes that send riders tumbling harmlessly. It is for players who want kinetic, arcade-style fun with a competitive edge, and who enjoy chasing high scores and friends' times.
