The story

A Foreign Service Officer in London tries to prevent a terrorist attack set to hit New York, but is forced to go on the run when she is framed for crimes she did not commit.

What it’s like

Cold, grey London streets and dim, sodium-lit Underground platforms give way to the glassy glare of Manhattan on New Year's Eve, with the crowded neon and countdown bustle of Times Square as the eventual stage. The look is glossy, polished studio-thriller digital: handheld-leaning chase camerawork, tight close-ups in corridors and car interiors, and bright, saturated city lights that contrast with the sterile blue of government offices. The score is a driving, synth-tinged pulse that swells into clattering percussion during pursuits and drops into tense, near-silent beats during standoffs. Its vibe is brisk, paranoid and slick, the kind of watch that suits a Friday night with the lights low, a long-haul flight, or a thriller craving on a cold evening. Pacing is relentless, with short scenes cutting between the chase and the mounting ticking-clock threat, and the emotional register stays taut rather than tender: a capable woman cornered by a conspiracy she has to outthink. Violence is moderate, with gunfights, hostage tension and a bombing plot, handled in brief bursts rather than gore. Best for viewers who want an action-led conspiracy thriller with urban spectacle and no lingering cruelty.
