The story

A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.

What it’s like

Cold, washed-out European winter light gives way to glossy, rain-slicked Berlin streets at night, with a restless handheld camera that stays close to its frantic lead and cuts quickly through chases and crowded city blocks. The palette runs to steel blues, greys and sodium-orange interiors, with hotel corridors and a sterile hospital ward doing much of the atmospheric work. The score is a propulsive, synth-tinged thriller pulse that drops out for tense quiet beats. Vibe: brisk, cold-blooded, a little tongue-in-cheek. It suits a Friday night when you want momentum over depth, or a comfort rewatch with a bowl of popcorn. The pacing is fast and escalating, and the emotional register stays light and playful beneath the paranoia. The arc follows a bewildered man who has to trust a stranger while fighting to be believed by the people closest to him. Intensity is moderate: several brisk fight and car-chase sequences with brief, stylised violence and some gunfire, no gore to speak of, and mild peril rather than sustained horror. It is for viewers who enjoy a classic Liam Neeson-style action thriller and want tension with an easy, amused edge.
