The story
Eight individuals trapped in a mysterious 8-story building participate in a tempting but dangerous show where they earn money as time passes.
What it’s like
Cool, clinical light and enclosed rooms give this series a sealed-off, under-the-fluorescents feel, with a building that keeps the eight contestants pressed together in cramped spaces and sharp corridors. Its palette leans toward sterile whites, greys and the glow of screens, broken by flashes of colour when the game's bright set intrudes. The score and sound design favour tense pulses and sudden silences over melody, so waiting scenes feel heavy and quiet. Its vibe is claustrophobic, darkly comic and uneasy, the kind of pressure that suits a late-night binge or a tense weekend marathon. Pacing is brisk and escalating, and the emotional register swings between sardonic humour and grim desperation as the characters' alliances and self-interest shift. Violence and injury are present and can be sudden and harsh, though not constant, and the dread comes as much from the cold game logic as from gore. It is best suited to viewers who enjoy social thrillers with a survival edge and can handle moderate brutality and bleak moral choices.
