The story

Lucy wakes every night at exactly 3:33am. Nothing in her life has made sense for a long time. But the answers are out there, somewhere, at the end of a trail of brutal murders.

What it’s like

Cold, grey-blue London nights and sodium-lit streets dominate the look, with dim bedrooms and shadowed flats lit by lamps and the flicker of screens rather than daylight. The camera tends toward steady, watchful framing, lingering on Lucy's face in the half-dark, and the palette is muted teal and ash with occasional sickly warmth. Sound is restrained: low hums, distant traffic, a sparse, unsettling score that swells at moments of dread. It is a slow-building, dread-soaked mystery with a melancholy undertow, the kind of thing to watch late at night alone when the house is quiet. Violence is a real presence: the murders are brutal and some scenes are graphic, with blood and disturbing aftermath shown, though the gore serves the investigation rather than spectacle. Sexual content is limited. Lucy's arc is one of fractured grief and a slow, painful pull toward truth, while the supporting cast carries the procedural weight. Best for viewers who want a tense, atmospheric crime story and can handle sustained grim material.
