The story

A group of high school outcasts get revenge on the students that torment them.

What it’s like

Bleak and airless, with the mood of a grim school corridor that never quite lets its characters breathe. Masks recur as a visual motif, so the faces that matter stay hidden and the unease comes from anonymity and menace rather than spectacle. The register is bitter and cautionary, closer to a sour warning than a stylish thriller. Pacing is driven by mounting tension and dread, building toward confrontations that are mean and ugly, with kidnapping and torture that land hard and linger; the violence is frequent and cruel, and there is no gentle release. The people at its center are shaped by humiliation and rage, and their arc moves steadily toward something harsher and more corrosive. It suits a late-night, alone watch for someone who wants a grim revenge thriller with a sour edge. It is not for anyone seeking comfort, gentleness, or light escape, but fits viewers who want unsparing, cruel revenge stories.
