The story

With college decisions looming, Elle juggles her long-distance romance with Noah, changing relationship with bestie Lee and feelings for a new classmate.

What it’s like

Bright, sun-washed California suburbs in saturated daylight: pastel bedroom walls, sunny beaches, glossy high-school hallways and cheerful gloss-finish camera work with plenty of close-ups on smiling faces. The look is clean digital, the palette candy-bright, and the score is a bouncy stack of pop songs that keeps the mood breezy even when the emotions wobble. Scenes move quickly, cutting between road trips, party nights, and bedroom phone calls, with a lot of comic mugging and goofy montage energy. Its vibe is light, sugary and a little restless, best for a cozy weekend afternoon, a lazy sleepover-style watch, or a comfort rewatch when you want romance without much weight. The emotional register stays cheerful and teenage, with an arc about a young woman learning to weigh loyalty and pressure against her own wants, though the relationship dynamics can feel possessive and tense at times. Intensity is low: mild teen drinking and kissing, some sexual innuendo, no real violence, and no gore or fear. It is for viewers who want an easygoing, feel-good teen romance with bright visuals and a sweet, lightly comedic tone.
