The story
A ghost-hunting duo team up to uncover and film paranormal sightings across the U.K. and share their adventures on an online channel. Their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, terrifying, and even deadly as the pair begin to uncover a conspiracy that could threaten the entire human race.
What it’s like
Handheld, lo-fi camera work frames most of the action, with shaky night-vision greens, cramped kitchens, and damp English exteriors under overcast skies, so it feels like a vlogger's raw footage rather than polished cinema. The sound leans on comic banter layered over creaks, distant thuds, and sudden stings that make the quiet moments unsettling. The vibe is affectionate and jittery, a sitcom buddy dynamic that keeps tipping into real unease, best suited to a late evening with the lights low or a comfort watch with friends who enjoy the Pegg and Frost rapport. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with jokes undercutting tension and tension returning before the laughs settle. Emotionally it follows two mismatched men whose bond deepens as their stakes rise, and their wary friendship carries more weight than the spectacle. Intensity is moderate: frights are mostly jump scares and eerie set pieces, with some brief, bloody violence and peril, but no sustained gore or sexual content. It suits viewers who want spooky thrills softened by warmth and silliness, not pure horror.
