The story

Veer, a villager, becomes restless after he is haunted by the visions of his past. When he is attacked on the day of his wedding, he forces his parents to reveal the truth about his identity.

What it’s like

Bright, glossy studio colour and wide daylight shots of village lanes and open fields give way to dimly lit interiors and night-time action, with the palette shifting from sunlit saturation to shadowy blues when the mystery deepens. Its rhythm is that of a mainstream Hindi action melodrama: bursts of punchy fight choreography, sudden pauses for family confrontation, and song sequences that stop the story for romance and celebration. The score swells with dramatic strings and percussion, and the mood swings between warm domestic sentiment and tense, suspicious unease. A restless man, pulled between the life he knows and a past he cannot place, moves from grief and anger toward a hard-won sense of who he is. The violence is staged action rather than gore: punches, chases, and fights that land with force but little blood, with some brief menace and emotional strain. It suits a weekend evening with company, or a comfort watch for viewers who enjoy big-screen Bollywood spectacle, family drama, and a dash of mystery, and it will feel most at home with people who like their stories sincere, theatrical and openly emotional.
