The story
A man without attachments or responsibilities suddenly finds himself with an abandoned baby and leaves for London to try and find the mother. Eight years later after he and his daughter become inseparable Gloria's mother reappears.
What it’s like
Warm, sun-washed daylight in Paris and London, with bright apartments, cluttered kitchens and easy handheld framing that stays close to faces during small domestic moments. The palette leans toward honey and soft blues, and the score is light and melodic, with pop-leaning tracks that keep the mood buoyant even when the story turns tender. The vibe is affectionate and easygoing, a feel-good family comedy with a bittersweet undertow, best for a lazy weekend afternoon or a comfort rewatch. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with broad comic beats softened by long, quiet scenes of a reluctant man learning routines like bottles, bedtimes and school runs. The arc follows a carefree bachelor slowly reorganising his life around a child, and the emotional register stays warm and sentimental without becoming heavy. Intensity is mild: no violence or gore, a little crude humour and some strong language, and emotional tension that stays gentle. It suits viewers who want a heartfelt, funny story about fatherhood and found family, without darkness or real danger.
