The story
In a world where families are limited to one child due to overpopulation, a set of identical septuplets must avoid being put to a long sleep by the government and dangerous infighting while investigating the disappearance of one of their own.
What it’s like
Cool, desaturated city palettes with a steely, blue-grey cast dominate this dystopian thriller, its futuristic interiors lit by harsh fluorescents and the cold glow of screens, while the streets feel rain-slick and crowded. Camera work is kinetic and handheld in the chase sequences, cutting quickly between the sisters, yet the quieter moments in apartments settle into tight, close framing that makes the cramped rooms feel like a trap. The score pulses with synth-driven tension and action beats, with little room for silence. The vibe is taut, paranoid and urgent, with a sharp, fast-moving rhythm suited to a late-night watch when you want momentum rather than rest. Its emotional core is a set of identical women, each with her own temperament, gradually learning to trust one another and to resist a system that polices their existence. Intensity is moderate to high: there are gunfights, brisk physical fights, and frequent threats of death, with some bloodshed, though it stays mostly within action-thriller conventions. It suits viewers who enjoy speculative conspiracy stories, sibling-driven ensemble drama, and sleek, high-tension genre filmmaking.
