The story
Desperate to help her ailing brother, a young woman agrees to compete in a deadly game of "Would You Rather" hosted by a sadistic aristocrat.
What it’s like
Cold, blood-dark dinner-party light and claustrophobic interiors, with the camera held tight on faces across a long table and lingering on the glint of cutlery and wine. The palette runs to deep reds, hard whites and the murky greens of a gloomy mansion, and the framing shuts the world down to whoever is currently speaking. Sound is restrained: ticking clocks, a sudden sting of score, the rattle of a countdown, then stretches of unnerving quiet. The vibe is grim, tense and sadistic, a slow-tightening unease that reads as a horror thriller rather than a splatter ride. Violence is present and sometimes brutal, with moments of gore and a steady undercurrent of cruelty and bodily harm, though the worst is often implied through reaction and sound. Its emotional core is a young woman's desperate loyalty to a sick brother, pushed to ugly moral compromise under pressure. Best suited to a late-night watch by someone who likes tense, chamber-style horror and games of nerve, and it will not suit anyone wanting something gentle or low-stakes.
