The story

Outspoken Kat Stratford couldn't be less like her sister, super sweet, yet kinda conformist Bianca. The only things they seem to have in common are being new at school and their overprotective dad.

What it’s like

Bright, sun-washed California daylight pours over suburban driveways, school hallways and beachy backyards, giving this teen sitcom the glossy, slightly overlit look of late-2000s network television. The camera stays mostly in medium shots and quick cutaways, with bouncy pop-rock and cheerful incidental music filling the gaps between jokes, and the palette leans on pastels, denim and school-colour sweaters. Its vibe is breezy, bubbly and sisterly, the sort of easy watch for a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch while folding laundry, or something light to have on in the background. The pacing is brisk, built around snappy banter and short scenes, with a wry, self-aware humour that treats high school with affectionate exaggeration. Emotionally it stays warm and low-stakes: an outspoken younger sister and her gentler older sibling slowly learn to see past their differences while navigating crushes, cliques and a protective father. Intensity is very mild: some teen tension and romance, mild mean-girl sniping, no violence, gore or sexual content beyond light flirting. It suits people who want a funny, feel-good teen show with a sweet family core and nothing harder to sit with.
