The story

An unusual love-hate relationship between a 75-year-old son and his 102-year-old father, who wants to break the oldest-man-alive record.

What it’s like

Warm, bright domestic comedy: a Mumbai flat full of afternoon sunlight through open windows, cluttered sitting rooms, and mostly static, theatrically framed two-shots that let the two leads trade barbs across the room. The palette is soft and sunny with pastel saris, worn wooden furniture and modest, lived-in interiors, and the camerawork stays unfussy so the performances carry it. Music is light and melodic, with bright orchestral cues that lift the playful moments without drowning the dialogue. The mood is gentle, quick-witted and affectionate, with a steady comic rhythm and a bittersweet undertow about ageing and getting old on one's own terms. Its people are a bickering father and son slowly finding a way to understand each other. It is family-friendly with no violence, no sexual content and no real fear, just mild cheek and sentiment. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort watch with family, or an easy evening with a cup of chai, and it is for viewers who enjoy character-driven Hindi comedy with heart.
