The story
Mob tries to avoid being the main character in a BL world, but as love finds him, he must choose between staying in the background or embracing romance.
What it’s like
Bright, flat studio lighting and tidy, centred compositions give this short-form series the look of a cheerful school-life sitcom, with frequent direct-to-camera asides that break the frame. The palette is soft and pastel, the sets are ordinary classrooms and cafés, and the editing leans on quick cuts, zoom-ins and comic inserts whenever the mood tips into fantasy. The sound is light and bouncy: piano-and-strings incidentals, sudden record-scratch stings, and big wordless reactions played for laughs. Its vibe is playful, self-aware and warmly absurd, the sort of thing to put on for a lazy afternoon or a few episodes during a commute. Pacing is brisk, with each episode built on small escalating misunderstandings. The emotional register stays light, poking fun at romance-drama conventions while still letting its quiet, overlooked hero stumble toward feeling seen. Violence is absent; intensity is limited to mild awkwardness, teasing and some romantic tension, with no sexual content beyond kissing. Suited to fans of genre satire and gentle comedy who enjoy stories about being an outsider.
