The story

Buntarou doesn't know what he wants to do in the future. He does not have any kind of dream that he wants to pursue, so currently he just spends his days hanging around with his friends. One day, his classmate Sayuki asks him if he wants to help with development of a gal game. She says that she had become interested in his help after she read one of his works intended for the drama club. Buntarou doesn't know anything about gal games, but Sayuki claims that she has the ability to make it a success. Can they make the game, and will it be a success like she claims it will be? This is the story of youths taking a daring step into the unknown...

What it’s like

Bright, warm daylight pours through classroom windows and across sunny school courtyards, with soft cel-shaded animation, pastel-leaning palettes, and clean character designs that keep the mood light and airy. The rhythm is unhurried and conversational, built from ordinary days of hallway chatter, club-room banter, and short bursts of comedic exaggeration, with a gentle, lightly jokey score that never presses too hard. Its emotional register is cozy and wry, a friendly slice-of-life mood with a playful edge around the awkwardness of teenage ambition and creative collaboration. Its people's arcs drift toward self-discovery: an aimless boy slowly finding a reason to care, and a driven friend learning to trust a partner who helps her get her ideas out into the world. Intensity is low: there is no violence or gore, and romance stays flirtatious and mild, with some sexual innuendo and jokes about the adult-game industry that are suggestive rather than explicit. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch, or background viewing while doing something else, and it is for viewers who enjoy anime about school clubs, creative projects, and friendships that grow quietly over time.
