The story

It's Senior year at East Great Falls. Annie, Kayla, Michelle, and Stephanie decide to harness their girl power and band together to get what they want their last year of high school.

What it’s like

Bright, flat, high-school comedy light: daytime suburban interiors, sunny hallways, and a glossy digital look with little grain, shot in mostly conventional coverage with quick cuts and easy two-shots of friends bickering in cars and bedrooms. The sound is pop-leaning and upbeat, with comic stingers and a steady stream of needle-drop tracks, so the mood stays bouncy even when the jokes get filthy. Vibe: brash, cheeky, goofy. It suits a lazy Friday night, a sleepover-style watch with friends, or background comfort viewing where you can laugh without tracking every line. Pacing is brisk and sitcom-like, and the tone is raunchy and openly sexual, with frequent crude jokes, innuendo, sex-toy and sex-shop gags, and a lot of talk about sex, though the sex is mostly joked about rather than shown in graphic detail. Violence is minimal and slapstick, with no gore; the main intensity is sexual humor. The arcs follow four friends getting more confident and assertive about their desires and ambitions as they push back against the boys and the social pecking order of their last year of school. It is for fans of the franchise who want more of its gleeful, unembarrassed smut, and for viewers who enjoy broad teen comedy and are fine with explicit humor.
