The story

Rudra Srivastava, a senior inspector with Uttarakhand police is lured into kidnapping a young girl at her request. The plot begins as a simple plan to extort money in exchange for her release. When the chain of events go wrong and a series of lies unfold, he realizes that he is now a part of a deadly conspiracy. Will he be able to escape the outcome of his choices or become a victim of the web of lies?

What it’s like

Set largely in the Uttarakhand hills and small-town police stations, this crime thriller leans on a tense, grounded mood where the everyday world of officers and ordinary locals gradually tilts into something sinister. Its tone sits between nervous suspense and dark comedy, so the unease often comes with a wry, ironic edge rather than pure dread. The story follows a senior inspector who is pulled into a kidnapping scheme that turns into a larger conspiracy, and the appeal lies in watching one compromised man try to talk, bluff and scramble his way out. Expect a steady build of consequences, a lot of deception and shifting loyalties, and an overall intensity of abduction and crime rather than graphic spectacle. It suits viewers who enjoy serialised crime drama with moral murk and a sly, cynical sense of humour, especially those who want a series they can follow across several evenings. It is less suited to anyone seeking something gentle or cosy.
