The story
After an anonymous hacker begins leaking the private data of thousands living in a small American town, the townspeople spiral into madness, with four high school seniors at the center of the maelstrom.
What it’s like
Saturated, glossy digital images of a small town tipping into chaos: bright suburban interiors, phone screens lighting faces blue in dim bedrooms, and sudden stretches of hyper-stylized color, with a frantic, collage-like editing rhythm that cuts between group chats, webcam glances and handheld street-level panic. The sound is loud and percussive, pop and synth-heavy needle drops set against sirens and muffled screams, so the quiet beats feel like a held breath. The vibe is feverish, mocking and abrasive, closer to a sugar high turning sour than anything restful; it suits a late-night watch with the lights off, or a sharp, unsettling evening with friends who like their satire mean. Pacing is relentless, escalating scene by scene, and the emotional register swings between gallows humor and real dread. Four teenage girls are pushed from defiance toward something harder and more raw, their loyalties and sense of self fraying under public pressure. Intensity is high: frequent graphic violence, bloody gunfire and assault, explicit sexual content and nudity, strong language, and sustained cruelty and humiliation that lands as hard as the gore. It is for viewers who want a jagged, provocative take on social media, small-town hypocrisy and female rage, and who can handle being unsettled.
