The story

Runaway Rinku gets forcefully married to already engaged Vishu. Both don't want this marriage and make a deal to go on their separate ways. The equation gets weirder when Rinku's lover Sajjad shows up and Vishu starts developing feelings for her.

What it’s like

Warm, saturated colour throughout: marigold and turmeric yellows, sari reds, the ochre steps and river haze of Banaras, with bustling wedding-season streets and sunlit courtyards that feel lived-in and noisy. The camera moves freely and often, with playful cuts and quick comic beats, then settles into softer, more still frames when the mood turns wistful. The score mixes bouncy folk-pop and celebratory dhol rhythms with sweeping strings and gentle piano for quieter passages. The vibe is bittersweet and buoyant, a crowd-pleasing comedy that carries a melancholic undertone, good for a lazy weekend or a comfort rewatch with a snack. Pacing is brisk and uneven in the way of a big Hindi film, with musical numbers and slapstick giving way to longer emotional scenes. The central pair start as reluctant adversaries and slowly soften toward each other, while a third character's past complicates things with some sadness. Intensity is mild: some shouting, a few physical scuffles played for laughs, a sombre stretch about heartbreak, and no graphic violence, gore or explicit sex. It suits viewers who want a warm, funny, music-filled romance with some emotional weight and no real darkness.
