The story

A budding director tries to research a merciless gangster for making a film on gangsterism. But her secret attempts to conduct the research fail when she gets caught for snooping.

What it’s like

Loud, saturated masala filmmaking: bright, flatly lit studio-style interiors, bold costume colours, and broad, theatrical framing that favours mid-shots so the performers' exaggerated expressions carry the scene. Music arrives in big, bouncing bursts, with brass-and-drum dance numbers that interrupt the story and sweep the mood upward, then drop back into snappy dialogue and physical comedy. The fights are choreographed for spectacle, with stunt-driven leaps, slow-motion beats and cartoonish stylization rather than grit. Its vibe is brash, playful and buoyant, the kind of noisy escapism that suits a Saturday afternoon with friends or a light-hearted watch when you want to switch off. Pacing is brisk and relentless, with the emotional register kept deliberately broad: a self-assured gangster and a determined, scrappy heroine trade wisecracks and bluffs, and their romance and rivalry escalate through mistaken identities and comic escalation. Violence is frequent but cartoonish, with gunfire and brawls that are bloodless and played for laughs, no gore, and sexual content limited to flirtation and romantic songs. For people who want big, colourful, good-humoured Bollywood entertainment with lots of music, comedy and fun-first action.
