The story

An NRI visits India to look for his estranged father and brother. He soon learns that both are expert conmen. He is forced to join them and go to Punjab to fix his younger brother's love life.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated Punjabi daylight dominates this Hindi comedy-action film: sun-washed courtyards, bustling mandi markets, marigold and red-turban colour everywhere, with broad, cheerful framing that favours wide group shots and quick cuts during set pieces. Its sound is loud by design, with dhol beats, bhangra-pop numbers, and sudden comic stingers, so it works better as an animated, rowdy watch than as quiet background. The vibe is boisterous, warm and very silly, a family caper with a light heart and a lot of noise. Pacing is brisk and episodic, the tone is broad slapstick with sentimental softening, and the emotional arc follows a estranged father-and-sons group slowly rediscovering each other through shared mischief. Intensity is low: there is stylised fist-fighting and staged chases with no gore, some suggestive humour, and no real cruelty. It suits a Friday night with friends, a festive gathering, or a lighthearted comfort watch, and it is for viewers who enjoy big-hearted, music-heavy Bollywood comedies with plenty of colour and chaos.
