The story

When a strict new boss bans dating in the office, a defiant employee sets out to challenge the rule—only to fall for the man behind it.

What it’s like

Bright, tidy office interiors under even fluorescent light give way to warmer, softer rooms outside work, with the camera mostly staying close and conversational in medium shots and two-shots that let small glances carry the scene. This is a light, bubbly Taiwanese workplace comedy-romance, the kind that plays as easy comfort viewing: a tender, slightly giddy mood, bright and playful at the edges and quietly wistful when the leads' feelings turn serious. The pacing is brisk in the office comedy beats and unhurried in the quieter scenes between the two leads, where a shared look or a half-finished sentence does most of the work. Its arcs follow a stern, guarded man and a cheeky, defiant colleague slowly letting each other past their defences, with friendship, first love and a few heartbreak moments along the way. Intensity is very low: no violence, no gore, no sexual content on screen, just mild romantic tension and the occasional sting of hurt feelings. It suits a relaxed evening, a binge with a friend, or a gentle queer romance for viewers who want warmth, humour and a love story that stays light.
