The story

What it’s like
Moonlit gothic ruins under a sickly violet sky, with fog rolling over blood-slick cobblestones and crumbling cathedral spires. Cold palette of slate, bruised purple and dull gold, lit by lanterns and pale moons, with a grainy, painterly texture to the darkness. The soundtrack is sparse and mournful: distant church bells, low organ drones, and the wet thud of combat. Its vibe is cosmic dread with a melancholy undertow, the feeling of wandering through a nightmare that has forgotten how to end. Pacing is deliberate and punishing: long stretches of cautious exploration broken by sudden, ferocious encounters that demand patience and precise timing. The tone is grim and tense, and the story offers quiet glimpses of old hunters who have been lost to the dream for centuries. Violence is frequent and graphic, with heavy blood spray, body horror, and grotesque creatures, and the fear comes from relentless pressure more than jump scares.
