The story
Moira Cole endeavors to rebuild her shattered life after her family's murder at the hands of her deranged and obsessed cousin.
What it’s like
Dread-driven and grim, this horror-thriller follows a woman working to rebuild after a family tragedy that leaves her shaken and on guard. The mood is tense and unsettled rather than playful, with the sense that danger may return at any moment. Its central figure's arc turns on endurance, fear and the slow, uneasy effort to find solid ground again. Violence is part of the premise, with a family murder at its core, so expect it to be present and disturbing rather than gentle. It suits viewers who want a suspenseful genre piece with a survivor at the center, watched in the evening with the lights low, and it is best matched to those comfortable with dark, violent subject matter.
