The story

Set at a famous high school for the super-wealthy, this is a puppy love story centered on Tsukushi Makino, a poor girl, and the F4 gang of rich kids headed by the rough and fearless Prince Charming, Tsukasa Domyoji.

What it’s like

Bright, glossy daylight fills the corridors, marble lobbies and sunlit courtyards of a gleaming private academy, with saturated school-uniform colours and bold, cheerful framing that never lingers in shadow. Playful comic inserts, exaggerated expressions and a bouncy pop-leaning score keep the mood buoyant, while the emotional beats swell into full melodrama. It suits a comfort rewatch, a lazy weekend afternoon or something to half-watch while folding laundry. The pacing is brisk and episodic, with rivalries flaring and cooling, and the central romance unfolds as a stubborn, teasing tug-of-war between a sharp-tongued working-class girl and a volatile rich boy who slowly learns to see past his own privilege. Intensity is moderate: bullying, shoving, slaps and tense confrontations recur, but there is no gore and the romance stays at kisses and emotional closeness. Aimed at viewers who want sweet, high-energy romance, big feelings and a warm, low-stakes escape into a colourful, over-the-top world.
