The story
Epoch Wars is a live multiplayer strategy game with hundreds of players from around the world. Battle for strategic resources, explore mysterious anomalies, earn EXP and Victory Points for yourself and one of 7 unique Factions, all vying for control of Cardania! Experience a dynamic, shifting map which provides players with a totally fresh experience every 5 days (called an Epoch). Epoch wars utilizes the latest in fast and secure blockchain + NFT technology, so players truly own their lands, cards, and battle units!
What it’s like
Strategic and competitive, with a cool, sci-fi headspace built around territory, resources and a map that keeps changing. It plays in a browser as a live multiplayer contest where hundreds of players and seven rival factions jockey for control, so the mood shifts between patient planning and sudden pressure as rivals move. The map is reshaped every five-day cycle, giving each stretch a fresh layout and a sense of a new season beginning. Sessions suit a focused evening at a desk, a stretch of checking in on territory between other tasks, or a long campaign that rewards returning often. Pacing is set by the other players rather than the game itself, so turns can feel slow and deliberate or abruptly contested. Conflict is the core of the experience: conquest, exploration of anomalies, and accumulating experience and victory points, with combat framed as strategic rather than graphically visceral. Blockchain and NFT elements mean that cards, lands and battle units are presented as owned assets, which will appeal to players who value collecting and trading as much as winning.
