The story
Click once a second. Every second. You are the clock.
What it’s like
Flat, minimal clockwork: a single white dial on a plain grey field, hands that tick forward one stiff second at a time, and nothing else competing for the eye. The sound is a dry, mechanical tick and the occasional chime, with silence stretching between them, so the whole thing settles into a repetitive hum rather than a soundtrack. It is an arcade-style idle toy, the kind you leave open in a corner window while doing something else, and it suits a bored afternoon at a desk, a short break from work, or a deliberately absurd stretch of late-night clicking. Pacing is strictly metronomic; the tension is in the act of waiting and the small, dumb reward of getting the beat right. Its emotional register is wry and sardonic, a deadpan joke about attention that never raises its voice. There is no violence, gore, fear, or sexual content, only mild frustration when you miss a tick. It is for people who enjoy tiny, low-stakes interactions with a single idea, and who find humour in minimalism taken to its logical end.
